Knowledge of Online Learning
Throughout the past semester I have been given the opportunity to learn about a variety of online teacher tools. With this new knowledge I am confident in my skills in implementing technology in the classroom, from coding to digital lessons plans. I am most excited to continue exploring and using digital lesson plans, edpuzzle, prodigy, and digital escape rooms; these were some of my favorites to use as they provided both a creative and fun lesson as well as new engaging ways for students to present their assignments and knowledge. This course has also allowed me to find new ways to access different online resources as well as the importance of a PLN to connect with other teachers and colleagues to learn about new ideas and share experiences from the classroom. I plan to continue using my online resources such as, blogs, instagram, twitter, pinterest and more to continue growing my knowledge on technology in the classroom and find new ideas. Incorporating technology into the classroom also provides a new perspective on how to execute the required curricular outcomes in the classroom, allowing students to expand their knowledge not only in their required subjects but also in computer science, it also allows students to show their creativity in fun and different ways. I believe that the future of education regarding technology is that it will become more reliant on online learning as well as open many opportunities for teachers and students to collaborate within the classroom and with each other.
